About Théo Tobiasse (1927–2012)

Born in Israel to Lithuanian parents, Tobiasse moved to Paris during WWII, surviving in hiding and drawing to cope. His work fuses Biblical/exilic themes, personal displacement, and fantasy with rich colors and emotional intensity—often portraying figures in exile, hope, and human drama. Popular in the late 20th century, his lithographs are in major collections worldwide.

A powerful, collectible unframed piece for Tobiasse collectors, Jewish/exile-themed art enthusiasts, or fans of 20th-century expressionist prints. Authenticity supported by the original pencil signature.
